AMG ships with significant calibration headroom. The factory has to cover poor fuel, hot ambient conditions and a global service network. In Adelaide, on 98 RON, with a clean intake and a healthy cooling system, there is a clear and repeatable margin to recover.
We calibrate the ECU and the transmission together. Shift points, clamp pressure and torque limits all get attention so the new torque curve is actually held all the way to the wheels.
Every car is logged, then loaded on the dyno, then driven before it goes back to the owner. The number that matters is the one the car can repeat on a hot day, not the one it does once on a cold morning.

FAQ
Common questions.
- Which AMG platforms do you tune?
- M139 (A45 and CLA45), M177 (C63 S, E63 S, GLC63), M178 (AMG GT, GT R), M157 (older C63, E63, S63) and the 3.0 inline-six M256 hybrid. We work with both petrol and AMG diesel platforms.
- Do you have to remove the ECU?
- Most modern AMG ECUs are bench programmed, which means the ECU is unplugged and read on the bench rather than over OBD. We have the tooling in-house and the workflow is well established.
- Will a tune affect my factory warranty?
- Out of warranty cars are usually straightforward. If the car is still under factory warranty, talk to us first. We can be honest about what the dealer will and won't see, and we can return the car to stock when needed.
- Do you tune the gearbox as well?
- Yes. On AMG SpeedShift MCT and 9G-Tronic boxes, calibration of clamp pressure, shift points and torque limits is part of the job. A peak power figure that the gearbox cannot hold is not a useful figure.
- What fuel should the car run on?
- We calibrate every AMG tune to Australian 98 RON premium unleaded. If you only have access to 95 we will discuss the trade-offs before the tune is written.
