Silver Nissan R35 GT-R parked on a country South Australian road after a calibration session

JDM - Skyline GT-R

R32, R33 and R34 GT-R tuning in Adelaide.

RB26 heritage done properly. Health first, then a calibration and upgrade path that respects the age and value of the car.

The RB26 is a brilliant engine with known weaknesses, and three decades of age changes the brief. Coil packs, fuel pumps, cooling and oiling all need to be right before boost and timing are touched, which is why every Skyline that comes in starts with a health check rather than a flash.

From there the path depends on the car. On healthy factory twins, a conservative calibration with sensible boost control, exhaust and supporting maintenance wakes the car up without stressing the hardware. For owners chasing more, we specify turbo upgrades and single conversions as complete packages, with fuel system, cooling and engine management agreed in writing.

This is personal for the workshop. The owners' track-focused R33 GT-R is developed and maintained here, so RB26 behaviour under sustained load, heat management on circuit and driveline durability are things we work through on our own car, not just customer ones.

We keep claims conservative. A healthy RB26 on factory turbos picks up honest, usable gains from calibration, boost and breathing. Bigger numbers come from bigger hardware, and we will tell you plainly where your car sits before anything is booked.

FAQ

Common questions.

Can you tune a stock RB26?
Yes, but the health check comes first. A 30-year-old engine with tired coil packs, a weak fuel pump or cooling issues will not hold a result, so we confirm the basics before any calibration work.
Do you work across R32, R33 and R34?
Yes. The RB26 is common to all three, and the differences between them are well understood here. The workshop's own R33 GT-R is a dedicated track car, so R33 chassis and RB26 behaviour at pace is something we know first hand.
Is a dyno run included?
No. Every car is logged and road tested as standard. A before and after dyno run on our in-house dyno is an optional add-on at $250.
Do you do single turbo conversions?
Yes. Conversions are specified in writing with the full supporting package, fuel system, cooling, boost control and engine management, agreed before work starts. Realistic figures are part of that conversation.
Can you calibrate for E85?
Yes, with the fuel system hardware to support it. Pump 98 is the standard brief, and flex fuel or E85 maps are written where the system supports them.
