LS - Gen III

LS1 and LS2 tuning.

VT to VZ Commodore, Monaro, GTO and early HSV. Bolt-on calibration and mild cam packages written on the car in Parafield Gardens.

Gen III LS engines left the factory with a conservative calibration and a fairly restrictive intake path. That is the honest headroom: airflow first, then a file written for the combination in front of us.

A typical LS1 package here is an intake, headers and exhaust with a custom tune. A cammed combination goes further, and the calibration work grows with it because idle quality, fuelling and torque management all need rewriting rather than adjusting.

Every car is logged and road tested. Where the customer opts in, we finish the job on our in-house dyno so the change is measured rather than described.

FAQ

Common questions.

Is a tune worth it on a stock LS1?
Yes, within reason. A stock LS1 picks up throttle response, part-throttle manners and a cleaner top end. It is not a big peak number, it is a car that drives the way it should.
What do you need for a cam package?
Cam specification, valve springs, pushrod length checked, and a fuel system that can keep up. We prefer to supply and fit the package so the calibration and the hardware are the same job.
Do you tune manual and auto?
Both. The 4L60E and 4L65E respond well to shift pressure and shift point work, which is often the difference between a car that feels fast and one that just makes numbers.
What fuel do you calibrate for?
98 RON as standard. Tell us if the car sees anything else and we will write the file to suit.
